Information received by Foroyaa has it that five top officials of the Gambia Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) have been rounded up in a mass arrest on Monday 27 June 2016.
Visiting the Banjul International Airport yesterday to ascertain the veracity of the information, it was confirmed to this reporter that the following top officials were arrested and detained at the National Intelligence Agency namely Abdoulie Jammeh, Director General, Sulayman Njie, Senior Manager Operation, Abdoulie Trawally, Senior Human Resource Manager, Lamin Fatty, Deputy Operations Manager, and Ebrima Sallah, Finance Director.
The reason for their arrest is not known.
