Forward Alagie Sosseh has made his much-awaited maiden appearance for Swedish side IK Frej.
Before a rambunctious home crowd, the left-footed goal-poacher climbed off the substitutes’ bench replacing Runnemo in the 67th minute as his side went on to grab the spoils after an Asbrink’s brace did the damage.
Alexandersson pulled a goal back with his earlier equalizing goal but it proved meaningless when Asbrink tapped in a last-gasp effort at the death.
The 30-year-old transfer from Iran, sees him return to the Scandinavian country permanently.
The scorpion joins in on a free transfer after leaving Mashad of the Persian Gulf Pro League in May.
His arrival will offer the club experience in attack but first the goal-getter must work on his fitness levels after being inactive from first-team football for two months.
Sosseh’s decision to join Frej was influenced by strong will to reunite with his young family in Stockholm following spells in Norway and the Gulf.
Frej is seated 11th in the Swedish second tier collecting twenty-five points in twenty matches.
