Promoted side Falcons FC have defeated reigning Champions Fortune FC by 2-1 on Sunday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The Abuko-based side goals were scored by Edward Ndecky and Pa Abdou Cham and Edi scored for the Petroleum Boys.
The Blue Army dropped points in their previous matches and lost the top spot to Real de Banjul and now Waa Banjul. Their win will bring them closer to the table-toppers with 13 points—one point adrift of leaders.
The defending champions are struggling to rediscover the form they were in last season which saw them win the competition. This defeat means they remain with 8 points.
