Veteran social commentator and erstwhile Gambia Football Association Secretary General Kebba Yerro Manneh has passed away.
Born in Kesser Kunda, Manneh whose sobriquet is KYM, died on Thursday after a brief illness.
A former teacher, Kebba’s demise has thrown the Gambian sport sector more so football into mourning.
A strong campaigner for grassroots football development and described a legend by Gambia football President Kabba Bajo, KYM was also a social commentator.
He recently contested in the parliamentary elections last April in Jang Jangbureh.
‘KYM was another trail blazer in Football administration and has contributed massively to where we found ourselves in football today,’ Kabba Bajo says.
