Elixir, Credit Dealers Association Partnership Agreement Signed

‘‘Cell Power’’ is an innovative Cash Power Vending service that allows customers to buy NAWEC Cash Power, from any Cell Power Vendor via SMS (short message service) and allows customers to register up to four electric circuit meters under one mobile number.

This impressive innovation by the Elixir Group has drawn the attention of credit dealers warranting a partnership agreement between the Group and the Gambia Credit Dealers’ Association.

The agreement was signed on Saturday 11th November 2017, at the Elixir Group’s head office in Fajara.

The CellPower product was launched on the 18th of August this year and is designed to make cash power accessible to everyone.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Pa modou Jobe, the president and CEO of the Group said the signing came as a result of a series of discussions and consultations with credit dealers to promote ‘cellpower’ across the country, through credit vendors. He tasked credit dealers to promote their product because it has higher demand than mobile credit.

He said the role of the government is to provide the conducive environment, guidance and support policies for the people and entrepreneurs to excel by transforming their ideas into job creating ventures. He implored on all the parties to join hands for the success of their partnership, adding it will be in the interest of all the two sides.

Mr. Essa Dampha, president of the Credit Dealers Association said the importance of knowledge is to be creative and provide self-employment, especially for the youth, as they are the cream of the society.

“If this continues the issue of unemployment will be eradicated in the country”, he said.

He thanked Pa Modou and group for creating such an innovative initiative that will avail them the opportunity to venture into an additional market as a source of extra earning enterprise.

“This is why the dealers wanted to discuss the matter and arrived at an agreement with Elixir, with a view to becoming exclusive dealers”, he noted.

He revealed that the association has been in existence for barely one year with the objective of dealers coming together and carrying out their business in a manner that will have control the price in their work and their partnership will serve as a price control mechanism to hold agents to account.

Mr. Dampha challenged his association to ensure the success of their partnership and vowed to partner with Elixir in all aspects of the business.

Saikou Jallow, Vice President of the credit dealers’ association, expressed thanks and gratitude to the Elixir and his association for what he described as a milestone achievement in their work and assured them of their commitment and dedication towards the success of the partnership.
