Prices of fuel particularly diesel continues to be unstable for the year 2019.

It has also been observed that since the beginning of 2019, prices of fuel changes on the first day of the month.

In most cases, the price of petrol increased while the price of diesel decreased; but on 1st October 2019, this has taken a swift as the price of diesel increased and that of petrol decreased. This has continued during the month of November 2019. This is the sixth price fluctuation of fuel that this medium has reported on in the country since the beginning of 2019.

As it was previously explained by pump attendants to Foroyaa reporters, it is the Gambia Government who communicates Fuel Filling Stations the prices of fuel.

Commercials drivers have always complained of not being informed whenever the prices of fuel increases or decreases; that they always know of the information when they reach petrol stations and have described this as a big challenge for them.
