By Mustapha Jallow A former Human Resource Director of Gamcel, Mr Seedy Jaiteh is still in detention at Mile II prison for 164 days without appearance incourt or being released on bail after his arrest by state security agents, according to family source. The desperate family members told Foroyaa that they were denied access to their loved one at Mile II Prison. “We were told to go home and wait if they are done with him they will release him. He has spent at last 5 months at Mile II prison without bail. We are traumatized and am worried about him. We have made several attempts to visit him but to no avail,” a family source narrated. The family source added the reason connected to his arrest and detention is still not known as they are not told by the said authorities. According to our earlier report, Mr Jaiteh was arrested by state operatives at his residence in Manjai Kunda around mid-night on 27 August, 2014, and led into a waiting vehicle with black tinted glass without registration number plate and then whisked away to an unknown destination. However, on Thursday, 28 August 2014, family members visited the NIA, the Police and NDEA but were told that Mr. Jaiteh was not held in  any of the three places. During their search, according to the source, he was eventually traced at the NIA headquarters in Banjul and that the family was initially allowed to be taking food to him but this was stopped on 2 September 2014. The source indicated that the family later got information that their loved one is being held at Mile II prison, but that they could not have access to him. The fifty two year old man is said to have two wives and a child.]]>
