The sureties of the Principal of Damfaye Lamin Camara namely Lamin
Touray, Kolley Jallow and Mandor Kuyateh were on Wednesday 16 March
convicted and fined D100,000 in default to serve a jail term of six
months for failing to the produce the accused in court for three
consecutive sittings.The sureties informed the court that they are aware that the accused
is in Dakar but there is no communication between them and the accused
and are therefore unable to bring him to court.
After listening carefully to the sureties, Magistrate Bittaye ruled
that the sureties are hereby convicted and fined D100,000 in default
to serve a jail term of six months.
