Uncapped Gambian striker Lamin Jawo is a hot-cake as clubs from Italy’s third tier launch into a tug-of-war in efforts to sign him.

Jawo is a forward at Serie B outfit Carpi after making the incredible journey from the fifth tier to Italy’s second most competitive football league last year.

Carpi managed to win the attacker’s signature, out-gunning a number of other Serie B sides in the process with a strong promise of first-team football doing the trick.

However it does look like Carpi has gone back on their words with Lamin finding himself dropped on the bench fourteen times, getting to playing only twenty-seven (27) minutes this season.

And aware of frustration overlooked players go through, clubs from the third tier are preparing to seize the chance to table bid to tempt the Gambian-born.

The transfer window will soon get busy and it’s expected a deal could be brokered at least before end January for the Gambian to switch on loan to rake up playing time.
