Defender Bubacarr Sanneh has poured cold water on reports linking him with a move this January saying he has had no offers yet.

The stopper, it is believed, might have played his last game for Horsens amid riffed talks about his possible move to Germany or out of Denmark.

There have been rumours about Sanneh heading to China but the 22-year-old had quashed those claims outlining his intentions to instead stay in Europe.

So widespread were the claims of Sanneh’s imminent exit that it had many thinking the Gambian had asked for a transfer. However the Scorpion has clarified his position saying his previous comments regarding his possible departure were put out of context but maintained he might just give it a thought should an offer come from clubs in the German Bundesliga.

‘I’ve seen some of the writings (about me), but I have been misunderstood,’ he says, adding, ‘I said that if there was an offer in the winter break from one club in Germany or elsewhere, I would of course be interested in it, but I have not heard anything from other clubs (regarding transfer proposals), and I have not heard news about AC Horsens (his club) been contacted with a concrete bid.’

Dubbed Timber, Bubacarr is one of most sought-after starlets in the Denmark Super League and Horsens are understood to be resigned to possibly losing the defender if the price is right.

Talks about switching to Turkey have been hinted but nothing has come of such assertions.

Bubacarr’s current deal runs out 2018.
