Alagie Sarr and his charges are making their intentions known by plotting to pip Mali’s Eagles.

The independence Stadium will host the first of a double-legged tie between Gambia and Mali with the return leg slated for Bamako.

The Scorpions were being put through their paces this week in preparation for the first-leg. There have been some injuries but gaffer Alagie Sarr remains upbeat about his regiment of boys pulling the shots against Mali.

The preparatory win against Guinea Bissau, Sarr believes, has given him the needed requisite to see his players in action and is of the opinion victory beckons.

The Scorpions’ dug-out has been bolstered with the inclusion of national team coach Sang Ndong to add to the backroom staff.
