QUESTION OF THE DAY
Section 45 subsection (1) of the Elections Act states:
“Where a nomination paper is duly completed and the required deposit paid in accordance with this part, the symbol and colour by which the candidate is to be identified and any other relevant document required by the Commission shall be delivered to the Returning Officer at or before the time appointed for the close of nomination.”
Hence the remaining documents may be delivered just before the close of nomination on Friday but not later.
