Brufut are determined to be the first ever side of recent to have gained promotion to the top flight in their very debut season in the second division.

With sponsorship thrown at them and being one of the league’s most organized sides, it’s hard not to think the outlined target wouldn’t be attained.

Elsewhere Red Hawks got the better of Lions of Banjul in another Division two fixture at the Serrekunda West mini-stadium while Interior mounts up pressure on teams at the top, closing the gap between them with their latest 1-0 victory relegation threatened Immigration at the Banjul mini-stadium.

Serrekunda East-Bi settled for a one-all affair with Tallinding United who have their hat in the ring for a promotion ticket.

In the GFF Cup, Wallidan, Brikama United, Bombada and PSV Wellingara are all through in the semis following their wins in the quarters. Wallidan rid off league leaders Ports ending the Ferry Boys’ hopes for double trophy haul and putting their target to retain the Cup on track on post-match penalties.

Brikama United overcame Tallinding on a 3-0 score and PSV Wellingara bullying Banjul United 10-9 on penalties.
