Gambia boxer Badou Jack wants a bigger slice of the cake as he plans to take on British Olympic gold medalist Badou Jack 2and IBR Super-middleweight champion James Frederick DeGale.

Jack who’s first Gambian to hold the WBC Super-middleweight belt, is foreseeing the fight possibly this year either September or December.

James is the first ever boxer to grab both the professional world belt and an Olympic gold medal when on an outing for Great Britain. And, giving the 30-year-old’s impressive 22 wins in 23 fights, there can’t be a better fight that this proposed one according to the Gambian.

Badou, dubbed The Ripper, has a total of twenty-two fights winning twenty of those and losing only twice. He has however been unbeaten the whole of last year.

Speaking on the prospect of taking two more combats one of which includes a possible thriller bout against DeGale, Jack told Hype Fight: ‘It’s already April, so hopefully like 2 more fights; one in September and maybe one in December. I take one fight at a time and we go from there. I think I got 2 more fights at 168.’

‘Yes! If everything goes well in this fight, then maybe the DeGale fight and then move up. We’ll see. We take it one fight at a time. I’m not going to stay at 68 much longer. My body is growing. I feel very strong and very good right now, but like I said, my body is growing and I think light heavyweight will fit me better in the future. I feel that I have 2 fights or less at 68 for me.’

While Badou hopes DeGale accepts the fight, the 33-year-old is preoccupied with getting to the tail end of his forthcoming duel this Saturday against Bute at DC Armony.

‘I watched a little bit (of Bute’s fights), but not too much. I’ve seen him fight. I know he’s a great fighter. He deserves a lot of credit and respect. I got to bring my A game. I’m not expecting an easy fight at all. I expect a tough fight, but I believe in myself and I’m confident that I’m going to win.’
‘I want everybody to tune into Showtime on April 30th or come down to the DC Armory and watch it in person. It’s going to be a hell of a fight,’ Badou who visited Gambia recently, said.
