Bottrop is on the brink of usurping holders Gambia Senior Secondary School in the senior category of the on-going inter-Schools championship.
Provisional results show Bottrop topping the chart amassing two hundred and twenty-eight points as we went to press yesterday.
Champions Gambia Senior Secondary School had been sitting second in the senior category but slipped little further after Essau closed in on them garnering one hundred and seventy-six points with Maahad Senior collecting one hundred and thirty-six points (136).
Day Two of the event shows Muslim pocket one hundred fourteen (114) points and Bansang at ninety-five (95).
Nusrat Senior Secondary School who’d been at eighth on Day One with a mere twenty-nine points moved up on seventy-one, above Miingdaw who were on fifty-three (53) points.
In the Upper Basic School category Latrikunda Sabiji who’d led on opening day maintain their lead scoring one hundred and seventy-eight points on Day Two with Barra Essau sitting second on one hundred and nine (109) points and Kabafita third on one hundred and twenty-two (122).
Brikama Upper Basic sat at fourth with provisional results pegging them at 109 points above Kabafita at fifth on 122.
Greater Banjul secured fifty-one points with Pakalinding sixth on 47 and Kitty seventh on 31 points.
There were twelve events left in the senior and 10 in the Upper Basic categories as we went to press yesterday.
