Multiple times European champions Barcelona have dispatched out Gambian wonder kid Alasana Manneh on loan, Foroyaa Sport can report.
Manneh has been turning heads since joining Barcelona’s Under-19s from Aspire Academy last year.
The 19-year-old midfielder soon rose through the ranks to join the Catalans’ B team and determined to ensure his steady progression, Barca felt the need to ship the Gambian out on loan.
Enquires from clubs in the Spanish lower division have been soaring but Barca believe third tier outfit Sabadell’s offered a more feasible plan to aid the left-footed Gambian’s growth and chose to loan him there for the season.
Manneh can feature as a central midfielder as well as a left winger.
He first went to Schalke 04 on trial but the German club passed on the opportunity to sign him.
A year later, he joined Aspire Academy before getting called to the Gambia national team in the games against Zambia and South Africa.
Alasana was part of the Scorpions contingent that traveled out to Benin recently.
