Balla Gaye is on the brink of a return to the arena after choosing to be inactive for the whole of this last season.balla-on-brink-of-comeback

Christened Omar Sakho, the former King of the Arena had a blank year in the previous wrestling season, after deciding against picking any combat despite the intention of promoters who were willing to tie him down to a contract.

The Guediawaye-born’s sabbatical follows his humiliating defeat by Eumeu Sene, who did not hesitate to subject Balla to a back-to-back trashing.

Prior to this, Sakho relinquished his arena title to a rarely fancied Bomdardier. The timing of the defeats and his sudden fall from grace, with the potential for his worth to decline, had forced the wrestler to take a brief break to reassess his situation.

But after seeing out his near 12-month breather from the rigours of wrestling, the man dubbed the arena appetizer is on the verge of resuming action when the new season starts amid vigorous reports of a potential battle with Gris Bordeaux.

While there’s some pockets of opposition from some quarters towards Balla taking on Gris, believing he may be lowering his level to duel a man so bruised, others remain convinced that clashing with the Tiger of Fass could avail him the chance to re-climb the high steps he felled off from.

According to Sunu Lamb, this proposed fight is a done deal with flyers for the combat all setup, though no formal announcement confirming a contract being brokered between the two wrestlers has been made yet.

Meanwhile, Eumeu Sene versus King of Arena Bombardier is already official while Modou Lo is touted to grapple with Lac 2 guere.
