Lamin Jallow has sorted out his future with Chievo Verona after penning a contract renewal.jallow

The 22-year-old international signed a deal that will keep him at the Flying Donkeys until 2020 with an option to extend a further one year.

This development comes on the heels of successful months of negotiations between the player’s representatives and the club chairman.

The ex-Gambia U-19 starlet puts pen-to-paper after wowing the gaffer during pre-season drills upon his return from loan.

An erstwhile Bakau United playmaker, Lamin was shipped on a 12-month loan from Chievo’s reserves to gain first team experience at Cittadella.

The wing-midfielder had looked the real deal from the day he joined Chievo and a stint with Cittadella –whom he helped gain promotion last season –merely helped his rapid rise to the fore.

The second tier outfit had a bid to keep the Gambian beyond his stipulated loan spell turned down as Chievo’s first team  coach Maran, convinced by the forward’s qualities, looks to give Lamin a run this season.

Aware of the blizzard of enquiries by other clubs over their prized possession, Chievo promised to give the scorpion playing time and this contract extension move signals the club’s intentions to offer the former Real de Banjul a run of matches.

Dubbed Beck, the Gambia international will hope this newest trajectory propels his career.
