QUESTION OF THE DAY
Today the news came that the family members of a nurse would have to go for testing because of her status after testing positive. The family showed courage by standing behind the nurse, assuring her of its full moral support for putting her life on the line to save the lives of others.
As heath workers continue to test positive in increasing numbers, the conscience of our executive and parliament should be outraged and special measures should be taken to give them and their families more protection. The work places and homes of health workers who are more at risk should be fumigated, they should be required to restrict their social activities to work and home. They should be encouraged to adhere to dietary and exercise regime aimed at promoting a healthier life. All should then emulate them. The society owe them greater protection as they put their lives on the line to protect the lives of the people.
Our hearts are with them in these times of great uncertainty regarding the trajectory of the illness.
