Steve Biko Football Club could be without coach Abdoulie Bojang who isLie Bojang
banned for purportedly throwing invectives at a referee, Foroyaa Sport
can report.
Dubbed Lie Bojang, the Giant Killers’ coach is reported to have
protested from the dug-out over a referee’s decision against
his team.Reacting, the Football federation disciplinary panel decided to come
hard at the former national team midfielder, banning him for two games
in a move to show its no nonsense approach to rowdiness in the league
football.
The decision comes after a careful study of provided evidence
including match commissioner’s game report.
The ruling means Bojang wouldn’t be allowed to come any near his
team’s dressing room or sit along with his backroom staff in the
dug-out during time of his suspension.
In a charged up game that saw Biko’s Lamin Camara shown the exit door
for receiving a second bookable offense, the league’s organizing body
also handed a season ban to Lamin K. Jammeh, a club official for
allegedly assaulting second assistant referee while also levying a
further D5000 (five thousand fine) fine on the Bakau-based outfit.
Sought for his reaction, Bojang –who led Biko to the league title in
2013 – insists he’s unaware of development regarding a ban placed on
him or any member of his team.
‘I was only talking to the referee about an offside and nothing else.  But
If I receive the press release, we will respond accordingly,’ he told
Foroyaa Sport yesterday afternoon.
In a similar incident, Bakau United quartet Dawada Camara, Omar
Colley, Ousman Ceesay and Abdoulie Jallow are also serving a
four-match ban after reportedly earning the federation’s wrath by
insulting a match referee.
Meanwhile Lamarana Jallow of Bombada, SK United’s Matarr Jobe and
Lamin United Sainey Corr are all out with bans imposed on them by the FA
