FOROYAA MESSENGER’s WIFE HADDY BADJIE LAID TO REST AT KALAGIE

159

Speaking to an emotionally charged Bai Mai Kah, Foroyaa could register the depth of the loss in his following words: “She was a Haddy and Mass Kahreal partner and a friend both in need and in deed. She taught me how to keep our differences from the public eye and worked to solve them without exchanging angry words. She was like a sister to me and looked after me as her most precious possession. I will miss her dearly.”

Haddy Badgie was born in Kalagi and Bai Mass Kah was born in Banjul at 38 Gloucester Street. The two are from different backgrounds but were able to build a partnership that went beyond ethno-linguistic and regional boundaries. Their marriage is a proof that love and care have no boundaries.

Haddy will be missed by her husband and friends, her workmates at Action Aid, her family members at Kalagi and all those who have come into contact with her and appreciate her because of her pleasant personality and warmth.

Death comes to us all but those who live a life of caring and sharing never die. They live in the hearts and minds of their loved ones for ever. Haddy was humble and selfless. She will be remembered for ever. We at Foroyaa extend our condolences to Bai Mass and the whole family at Banjul, Latrikunda and Kalagi. May she rest in perfect peace.
