One-quarter of the life of councils has elapsed. It is important for the councillors and their mayors, mayoresses and chairpersons as well as the communities at large to look at the mandate of councils and assess whether such mandate is being fulfilled. The key responsibilities of councils is planning and zoning to ensure that all facilities are provided with their appropriate environment to deliver optimum services. Foroyaa will monitor what councils have done or fail to do during the first year in the exercise of the mandate.
