The lesson is clear. The statement of the coupists as published in the last issue of Foroyaa, banned all political parties without exception, contrary to some claims that a party like PDOIS was spared, and further suspended the Constitution.
This irrational decision led to the abolition of the rule of law and the introduction of the rule of might. This was done without seeking any legal advice from any legal mind. It is important to call a spade a spade. The country needs an accurate history of what happened.
