State counsel R. Dougan told the Banjul high Court on Tuesday 17th
February, 2015 that the prosecution has filled an indictment in the
trial involving Lamin Fatajo, Project Coordinator of the former Rural
Finance Project and Muhammed Lamin Mass, acting Finance andAdministrative Manager of the Rural Finance Project, under the
Ministry of Agriculture, but that it is not with her in court.
In response to the state’s announcement before Justice Simon A. Abi,
Lawyer Lamin S. Camara, counsel for the accused persons, told the
court that in the absence of the indictment they can adjourned the
matter.
Subsequently, the trial judge adjourned the case to 4th March, 2015 at
10.30 am for plea taking.
The duo was earlier arraigned before acting Principal Magistrate Lamin
Mbaye Snr of the Banjul Magistrate Court’ on the 11th September, 2014
and charged with a single count of ‘Economic crime’ and to which they
both pleaded not guilty.
