The criminal case involving Mrs. Tina Faal, a former National Assembly member did not proceed due to the absence of PW3.
When the case was called Inspector S. Sanyang, Corporal Lamin Bojang and Inspector A. Bojang appeared for the Inspector General of police whilst Counsel Combeh Gaye announced her appearance for the accused person. The former National assembly member is standing trial on three counts; conspiracy, obtaining goods by false pretence and theft.
“PW3 is absent due to the fact that he has been assigned to execute court orders” submitted the Prosecution counsels. They further told the court he is a senior bailiff and one of their functions is to execute court orders. He therefore applied for an adjournment and urged the court to grant his application.
“I have no objection to their application and the trial magistrate Kebba Baldeh adjourned the case to Wednesday, 8 December 2016 at 10:30 for continuation of hearing.
