Brufut gaffer Alieu Sanneh bemoaned his team’s shock exit from the Super Nawettan following their failure to reach the quarters.
A 1-0 defeat to Bakau condemned Brufut at the serrekunda West mini-stadium on Tuesday adding to their woes in the championship.
And on the back of this latest blip, Alieu Sanneh was left bemoaning in a campaign described as the side’s worst showing since their inclusion into the Super Nawettan.
Sulayman Drammeh’s 21st minute goal proved decisive.
He said in post-match remarks: ‘I am dispaointed with my players. But is football we accept it we are going to prepare for next year. If we had won our past matches we would have been on a better footing this moment so that cost us from going to the quarter-finals.’
SK East, Banjul Brikama BEM are all through to the quarter-finals. Champions West on four points, were requiring of a win yesterday against SK Central to be assured of passage to the quarter-finals.
