Where is Solo Sandeng?
His whereabouts is still unknown. Trials are taking place without his attendance in court. This is in the minds of all those who want justice to be done.
Every Gambian who is arrested should be charged and taken to court or released within 72 hours. This is the dictate of the Constitution.
Law enforcers only have moral authority to prosecute if they are not law breakers. Where law enforcers become law breakers, the system of justice becomes the casualty. The law is honoured with disregard and impunity becomes the order of the day.
It is the State that has authority to arrest but has no authority to detain without trial or make a person disappear without trace.
Everybody is still waiting to know Ebrima Solo Sandeng’s whereabouts. Tomorrow will tell whether we will have answers or not.
