Foroyaa received information that one Modou Ngum, a 29 year old from Tujereng in Kombo South, has been missing since 
Thursday, 14 April 2016.
When this reporter visited the family home on Saturday 30 April, it was confirmed by the distraught relatives that Modou Ngum has not been seen for 16 days and that his whereabouts or state of health is not known.
Omar Ngum, the uncle of Modou, told Foroyaa that the young man was said to be part of those who were arrested at Westfield on the 14 April.
“Since on that day we have not seen him and I don’t know where to start looking for him,” said the uncle.
He said they have been to the court in Banjul twice but have not seen him among those who were brought to court.
The family expressed concern for his state of health, pointing out that he is a healthy and strong young man.
Mr. Ngum is said to be the one who takes care of his 90 year old grandmother mother who is not feeling well and is so much worried about his missing grandson.
“Modou is the one who helps his grandmother to eat, bath, take medicine and go to bed every day,” revealed the uncle.
On 14 April, 2016 dozens of protestors converged at the Westfield Junction in Serrekunda calling for electoral reform but they were soon dispersed by the police and a number of arrests were effected by the Police.
