20 sports journalists to be trained

20 sports journalist from within the country are set to be trained by the Gambia Press Union. The training that’s to take the shape of a three-day event is being organised by Gambia Press Union in collaboration with the Sports Journalists Association of The Gambia. Participants will be drawn from twenty media outlets in the country. The training, to begin Thursday, 20th November by 9am at GTMI in Kanifing, will center on the following topics: Ethical Journalism, Media Law, New media and the Communication Act and is being funded by the UNDP. The SJAG shall be providing two trainers to address the following topics, Fundamentals of sports journalism and Challenges to sports journalism and the way forward. The invited media houses are, Afri radio 1, Capital FM 1, FMB Brikama 1, City limits 1, Paradise FM 1, Hot FM 1, Star FM 1, Unique FM 1, Vibes FM 1, West coast Radio 1, GRTS TV 1, Observer Newspaper 1, The Point 1, Standard Newspaper 1, The Venture 1, Sports view 1, Foroyaa 1, KoraFm 1, Terranga Fm 1 and GRTS Radio 1.      ]]>
