He left Milan after failing to break into the A-team and his search for minutes took him to Frankfurt on a short six-month deal. The striker was acquired with promise of first-team football depending on his progress with the team youth set-up. But hardly Frankfurt‘s coach considered the Gambian a first-teamer and the player’s off-the-pitch issues didn’t help either. Growing disillusioned over lack of playing time, the attacker who also has dual citizenship with Italy and Gambia is pondering moving away with Romanian champions Steaua Bucharest said to be his preferred destination. Yaffa’s agent Mauro Cavalli confirmed possibility of a move away from Germany is being explored but insists no deal has been signed yet. Yaffa is no stranger to Gambian football fans.
