All Gambians have opinions on every subject matter. However, in order to shape public opinion, the public should be consulted. This is why the National Assembly and civil society should hold public hearings on the Judicial Officers Bill and the National Assembly Salaries and Pensions Bill to get the views on the bills. This is the way forward to build a mature democracy.
