Neither the 2024 nor the 2020 Draft Constitution Bill could ever have gone or go for referendum without proper scrutiny after the second reading. Such scrutiny takes place at the committee stage.
Hence it is not too late to have input in the 2024 Bill to bring it into conformity with the 2020 ousted Bill. Ousting a Bill because of its content when the National Assembly members have authority to have an input on content would not pass for sound judgement.
1965 was repeated in 2020 and may also be replicated in 2025 in blocking the constitutional advancement of the country. History is recording everything that is being said and tomorrow posterity will give its verdict.
