All those who intend to be candidates for the 2024 presidential election in Senegal have submitted their credentials for scrutiny. The eye of pubic is on Ousman Sonko. He was the fourth person to be called upon for the verification of the credentials presented as an aspirant for candidature in the election. The fact that he is called upon for verification of his credentials tends to give the impression that the administrative tinkering with the electoral process is being restrained. It is Sonko, who was not present nor was his representative. According to procedure being absent means that one’s documents will be put at the bottom of the list of aspiring candidates.
