QUESTION OF THE DAY
On Friday night, a parent gave a report to Foroyaa that his child was missing after being arrested on Thursday 23rd November 2017 close to their residence, with a number of young people arrested and detained.
He said the young people were taken to different police stations and that in the morning of the 24th, he combed the stations and could not find his son. He reported that some young people had gone home but others like his son were still missing after spending a whole night and day in detention. We promised to send a reporter in search of his son. By 9pm on Friday 24th November, he called again to indicate that he has been released. Foroyaa will contact the police headquarters to find out what is going on. We are not aware that there is any curfew in place to warrant raids not associated with actual suspicion of the commission of a crime.
