QUESTION OF THE DAY
WHY DID SOLO SANDENG NOT APPEAR IN COURT YESTERDAY?
The missing person, whose disappearance is claimed to have given rise
to the 16 April incident at Kairaba Avenue, is still not appearing in
court.
Foroyaa’s enquiry has not revealed any corpse from the 14 Aprilincident at Westfield kept at the mortuary in preparation for a
coroner’s inquest which is a must if a person dies under detention.
The State has responsibility to bring an arrested person before a
court within 72 hours. It is now heading towards a month since Sandeng
was reported to be arrested after the incident of 14 April at
Westfield was foiled.
Foroyaa has been asking his whereabouts but to no avail. His fellow
arrestees appeared in court again yesterday without his presence. Why
is he not appearing with them?
That is the burning question of the day.
