The Gambian people have been told that new currency notes have been made and that by December 2023 the new currency notes will replace the old ones that will be completely taken out of circulation. We are now approaching 2026 and torn and tattered currency notes are still in circulation, unabated. Foroyaa will contact the authorities for an update on this matter.
