WHERE DOES THE OLD ORDER STOP AND THE NEW ORDER START?
This question has to be answered by the Barrow government in a most sophisticated manner to avoid what happened in Farato.
The land question is a major question that has not been resolved under the past government. Instead it was made to be more complicated.
The Lands Commission was supposed to address this issue and this is precisely the mechanism in the hands of the Barrow administration that it should utilize to know the problem, identify the stakeholders and conduct proper investigation to know the owners and give reparation to those who have been defrauded by land speculators.
We therefore hope that the Barrow government will act with immediacy to address such concerns and not proceed with measures that are likely to breed problems of public disorder as have been experienced in Farato.
