then why should there be any quarrel among those who hold different views on how to worship? Some politicians are also busy exchanging views on who will win the next presidential elections while farmers wonder how they could sell their crops, youths wonder how they could get jobs and earn enough income to marry and raise children and families with detained relatives continue to wonder how they could reunite with them. The purpose of leadership in all domains is to address the needs and aspirations of the led. The Gambian people are yearning for a leadership which could earn them liberty and prosperity in a society based on solidarity and tolerance, irrespective of diversity. Those who desire to build such a society should stand and be counted. Those are the ones people want to listen to in order to keep hope alive. ]]>
