By Muhammed Sailu Bah Foroyaa has been informed by a source that the 3 corpses of those linked to the 30 December 2014 attack on state house in Banjul have been transferred to another area in the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) and hence the absence of the soldiers who were placed on guard at the mortuary. In order to confirm the veracity of the information, this reporter again visited the hospital yesterday, Monday, 29 June, to enquire from the officials about the status of these corpses that have been at the mortuary since late last year. Having gone round the hospital, this reporter could not see any soldier posted on guard anywhere within the premises. Talking to the hospital PRO about this new information, Mr. Momodou Lamin Jammeh maintains that he does not know anything about the corpses and referred the reporter to the GAF PRO. Efforts to get to the GAF spokesperson also proved unsuccessful as he could not be reached through his phone. Earlier, it was reported that the corpse of one of the victims, Bakary Bojang, alias Gosso, the mentally ill young man was finally handed over to his family and buried. However, when they were contacted to enquire whether the same is done with them, the families of the late Lt. Col. Lamin Sanneh, former Commander of the Presidential Guard, and Alhaji Nyass, a former member of the defunct Gambian Gendarmerie, told Foroyaa that they have not received the corpses. ]]>
