WHEN WILL THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SIT AND WHO WILL PRESIDENT BARROW APPOINT AS NA MEMBERS?
According to section 97 of the constitution, the president should issue a proclamation of the date of the first sitting of the national assembly. Hence Foroyaa will find out whether such gazette has been published for the information of the national assembly members. It is not sufficient to invite newly elected national assembly members to a swearing in ceremony.
Secondly the president has power to appoint five members of parliament. His nomination will determine the nature of the presidency. Everybody is keenly observing.
