WHAT WAS THE GOVERNMENT WAITING FOR REGARDING THE AKI DEATHS

127

It is amazing that a government which has a pathologist with the means to establish the cause of death and then act which makes it possible to order a coroner’s inquest to have sufficient facts in order to be able pursue justice on behalf of its citizens should wait to be dragged to court by family members of the deceased children.

Foroyaa has been calling on the government to lead the way in establishing what went wrong and seek legal remedies in favour of the families of the deceased. Now that the families have gone to court, it is increasingly beginning to appear that the families care more than government. In actual fact, the government is meant to care for all as the mother and father for all. It is not honourable for a father or mother to be taken to court for not safeguarding the interest of their children.
