QUESTION OF THE DAY
If the Gambian people are to be engaged constructively to sound their opinion on the 1997 Constitution they should first know the content of the Constitution.
So far those who want a new constitution have been exposing the number of times the 1997 Constitution has been subjected to amendments. Few have taken the trouble to explain the content of the Constitution and propose amendment. Hence if a thorough job is to be done the Constitutional Review Commission should have an ICT unit whose objective would be to explain to the public the content of the 1997 Constitution and get feedback from them. This is a way forward if the review exercise is to be really participatory.
