PDOIS is circulating a booklet to sensitise people on the purpose of holding a Congress from the 29th to the 31st July 2023. The electoral cycle 2021 – 2023 is complete. Two political parties are given the mandate by voters to run their central and regional governments.
The central government is in the hands of the NPP and the local government is shared between NPP and UDP. The other political parties are to hold them to account, if the multi-party system is to function in the interest of the people.
Foroyaa will monitor what PDOIS will deliberate on at the congress and how what is said will impact the political situation in the country between now and the next electoral cycle.
