Readers would recall that the President of the Republic constituted a commission of inquiry and appointed the following people to be members:

Samba Faal

They were given the following mandate:
The Commission shall complete its inquiry within a period of three months of its first sitting but may continue beyond such period if in its opinion it is necessary to do so.
The Commission commenced sitting on 10th July, 2023. The time has elapsed and no announcement has been made of any extension. The rule of law requires that matters be pursued in accordance with the law. Foroyaa will continue to monitor developments.
