WHAT IS THE STATE OF PREPAREDNESS OF THE GAMBIA FOR HOSTING OIC CONFERENCE?

QUESTION OF THE DAY

The public has been informed of road construction and other infrastructural development that are associated with the hosting of OIC meeting. Many have lost contact with state of preparedness of the country to host an OIC meeting. Now that the secretary general of the OIC is coming to the country today one expects that he will not leave the country without giving a clear view of Gambia’s state of preparedness in holding the summit.

Foroyaa will be asking that question so that benchmarks on implementation would be known and careful monitoring done to assess progress. The public must be informed since, ultimately, they would have to pay for any loan taken to implement any project. The benefits they are to accrue should be identified and the cost known to determine whether the scale of benefit overrides the burden of cost. That is what makes a project viable.
