One of the key services which over the years had facilitated the transportation of goods and people is the Gambia Ferry Services Company Ltd. The demand for such services is still high.
After the Bamba Tenda/ Yelli Tenda crossing was bridged, it was assumed that the Gambia Ferry Services would transform into a management team for the bridge so that the earnings could be utilized for more investment into ferry services to facilitate inter-bank movement. Tolls, ferry services, etc. are conducive for income generation and investment into the public productive base. No country can head towards sustainable development unless it controls and manages its sovereign national assets and put them into productive use.
