The world is quiet but the movement of goods, services and people are gradually being restricted by protectionist measures that could lead to the collapse of the world economy and the restriction of movement from one country to the other on the basis of the few who have the money to pay the visa fee. It will also encourage those who do not have the money to move to the drug trade and other illicit ways of earning to get the money for visa fees. Hopelessness may also drive the young into terrorist organisations that may pose to be fighting the domination of the world by the few. We are entering a dangerous new world and instead of reciprocating, African leaders should meet to come with common decisions on how to reverse the use of increasing visa fees to restrict legal migration.
