WHAT IS THE DEBT BURDEN OF THE COUNTRY?
The Domestic debt is 20.7 Billion. The External debt is 23.3 Bllion Dalasis.
Hence each Gambian, even a baby, carries a debt burden of over 24,000 Dalasis.
Is this sustainable? Simply no. We will not reach economic superpower status with such growing indebtedness in the face of celebrations.
