For the information of the reader, the United Nations has approved the deployment of Bangladeshi security forces as peace keepers. Apparently, the two nations are initiating dialogue and cooperation between their security forces.
This combined lessens to government and security forces alike, that unless peace and democracy in a country is rationalized, those recruited by the UN to maintain peace in another country become lost.
As the two governments build relations, the civil and military leaders should equally commit themselves to the principles of democracy, good governance, the rule of law and peaceful relations between the security and the civilian population. The government must govern according to the constitution and the opposition must hold them to account according to the constitution. Security forces must defend country and people. This must constitute a lasting and peaceful solution.
