The importance of the rule of law is to dictate what should happen prior to it happening. Even though many supporters of Trump were ready to give their lives for him to stay in office, the laws of the country had already indicated what would happen on the 20th January after a Presidential election.
Hence the People of the US will soon discover that what happened in the case of Ex- President Jammeh will also happen in the case of Trump. His term expires on 20th January 2021. President Biden will be sworn in and Trump would exit the white house. This is the verdict of the law and the electorate of the USA and it is irrevocable.
